Alta Ranch Cabins

The Alta Ranch offers five comfortable, spacious, hand-hewn log cabins, fully furnished and equipped to the most exacting detail. Each cabin is private, and nestled in the pines.
Ponderosa cabin
The cabins are very clean, carpeted, and attractively furnished in lodge decor. Cabins feature a wood stove with plenty of firewood in the living room, a complete kitchen, 2-3 bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, covered porch, telephone, and electric baseboard heat throughout. Towels, bedding, and all kitchen inventory including paper products are provided.  All you need to bring is your own food and personal items.
Each cabin has its own covered porch to relax and enjoy the mountain views, a hummingbird feeder, a gas barbecue grill, a picnic table, and a private campfire site. The ranch clubhouse offers wireless internet connectivity via satellite, laundry facilities, library, board games, satellite TV, DVD/VCR, and videos. Other recreational amenities on the ranch include a stocked pond, canoe, row boat, peddle boat, fly fishing rods, gold pans, and lawn games.
   

The Alta Ranch's cabins are named the Cottonwood, the Ponderosa, the Aspen, Moose Crossing, and Alta Vista.

Each has its own unique charm.
 


The Cottonwood

Our spacious cabin with accommodations for two couples, or can accommodate 8 using queen sleeper sofa and twin rollaway beds. 1400 sq. ft.; bedroom on main level with either a king bed or two twin beds; loft bedroom with either a king bed or two twin beds plus two rollaways; queen sleeper sofa in living room; two bathrooms with tub showers; fully equipped kitchen; laundry facilities; porch with panoramic view.

The Ponderosa

Our Ponderosa cabin is comfortable with accommodations for up to 6 people. 1200 sq. ft.; two bedrooms on main level, each with either a king bed or two twin beds; loft with two twin beds; bathroom with tub shower; fully equipped kitchen; porch overlooking the river.

The Aspen

Our smallest cabin--cozy atmosphere, ideal for a couple or a couple with 1-2 children. 600 sq. ft.; master bedroom on main level with queen bed; loft with two twin beds accessible by spiral staircase; bathroom with stall shower; fully equipped kitchen; porch overlooking the river.

The Alta Vista
 Our largest log home (4,000 sq. feet).  It is perfect for a large family gathering or reunion.  It is newly remodeled with a beautiful view of the ranch situated on the banks of the river and has a small pond below where moose bathe.

Moose Crossing Cabin

Moose Crossing offers a spectacular view of the ranch mountains and accommodates up to four people.  It is our newest cabin and is about 100 yards from Alta Vista.  The West Fork of the Bitterroot flows below the property.  It also has a corral if you want to bring your horses.

Smoking is not permitted inside guest cabins, but is allowed on the porch. 
Generally no pets allowed.
