Our largest cabin, capacity
8; 1400 sq. ft.; bedroom with a king bed or two twin beds; loft bedroom
with a king bed or two twin beds and two rollaway beds; queen sleeper sofa in
living room; two bathrooms with tub showers; fully equipped kitchen; laundry
room; porch with panoramic view and BBQ.
$220 a (June-September);
$175 a night (Oct - May)
The Ponderosa
Our next-to-largest cabin, capacity 6; 1200 sq. ft.;
two bedrooms, each with a king bed or two twin beds; loft with 2 twin beds;
bathroom with tub shower; fully equipped kitchen; porch overlooking the river
with BBQ.
$200 a night (June-September); $175 a night (Oct - May)
The Aspen
Our smallest cabin, capacity 4; 600 sq. ft.; master
bedroom with queen bed; loft with two twin beds or king accessible by spiral staircase; bathroom
with stall shower; fully equipped kitchen; porch overlooking the river with BBQ.
$160 a night June - September);
$150 a night (Oct - May)
Moose Crossing
Moose Crossing cabin offers a
spectacular view of the ranch and mountains and accommodates up to four people.
It is about 100 yards from Alta Vista. It has a TV and washer/dryer. The West Fork of
the Bitterroot flows below the property. It also has a corral if you want to
bring your horses.

The Alta Vista
Our largest log home, capacity at least 11 people;
4,000 sq. ft.; master
bedroom with king bed; loft with two twin beds and three rollaways; 2
bedrooms on main floor, one with two twin beds or king, the other with a queen
bed; 3 full bathrooms;
huge great room; large living room with spectacular view of pond, meadow and
mountains; formal dining room; mud room; sitting room; fully equipped kitchen;
flat screen TV, wireless internet access; washer/dryer; huge fireplace; 2 large porches overlooking the river and small
pond; gas grill. Next to Alta Vista is the Bunkhouse used as an additional large recreation room
with pool and foosball tables and small putting green. BBQ on porch. The
Bunkhouse has a bunk bed and two rollaways. $400 a night
(June - September); $350 a night (Oct -May)
The Homestead
The Homestead is an older cabin that we use as a Clubhouse
for all guests. It has a washer/dryer, full kitchen, TV, wireless internet
access, weight lifting equipment, ping pong table, movies, games, and library.
All cabins have a propane BBQ on the porch and firewood for an indoor fireplace
and outdoor fire ring. All cabins have books on Montana wildlife, hiking
trails, flowers, Forest Service maps, and miscellaneous books.
All rates are subject to
7% Montana Accommodations Tax. Rates include unlimited use of all ranch facilities
including catch-and-release trout pond, canoe, rowboat,
paddleboat, campfire sites, library,
clubhouse, and laundry. The minimum
stay is 3 nights. For shorter stays there is an additional $50 charge.
No smoking inside the
cabins, but allowed on the porch.
No pets allowed without
special permission.
Check-in after 4:00 p.m. Check-out by 11:00 a.m.
Deposit of 50% is required within 7 days of reservation.
Balance is due upon arrival. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express,
personal checks, travelers checks, money orders, and cash. Deposits are refundable,
less a $25 cancellation fee up to 60 days before arrival. Within 60 days of
arrival, deposits are refundable only if we are able to book the canceled space. If you must leave the Alta Ranch before
your reserved time is complete, you will be responsible for the entire time reserved.
